There are actually two MLB Wednesday afternoon match ups that rate as worthy of action, but I'm passing on RHP Lance Lynn and the Cardinals +0.38, due to the fact that Lynn is coming back from Tommy John surgery after missing all of 2016.
1:10pm: Royals -109 RH Ian Kennedy (2016: 11-11, 3.68 ERA) vs. Twins -101 LH Hector Santiago (2016: 13-10, 4.70)
The Twins are just a slight underdog here, but the TTF rates them +1.549 in this match up.
I know it's just one game, but Minnesota looked pretty good in Monday's 7-1 win. Ride them for 1 unit.
Evening games added 2:45pm ET
7:05pm: Blue Jays +103 LH J.A. Happ (2016: 20-4, 3.18 ERA) vs. Orioles -113 RH Dylan Bundy (2016: 10-6, 4.02)
Mark Trumbo was the hero for the O's with an 11th inning homer in Baltimore's 3-2 win. I like Toronto to bounce back tonight behind Happ, and with a +0.691 TTF match up rating, I recommend them for a unit.
7:10pm: Phillies -102 RH Jerad Eickhoff (2016: 11-14, 3.65 ERA) vs. Reds -1.8 LH Brandon Finnegan (2016: 10-11, 3.98)
Philadelphia got homers from Cesar Hernandez and Freddy Galvis in Monday's 4-3 victory. With a +0.852 TTF match up rating, it's worth taking them for a unit in game 2.
10:05pm: Angels -107 RH Garrett Richards (2016: 1-3, 2.34 ERA) vs. Athletics -103 RH Jharel Cotton (2016: 2-0, 2.15)
Danny Espinosa saved the Angels from an 0-2 start with his 9th inning homer last night. L.A. is hoping Richards will be effective in his first start since May 1, 2016 (elbow injury). The TTF says OAK +1.038 and I'll back that action for 1 unit.
Good luck, players!
