I've got two afternoon plays this Saturday that show good value on the TTF.
2:15pm: Reds +158 RH Bronson Arroyo (2016: NR) vs. Cardinals -176 RH Michael Wacha (2016: 7-7, 5.09 ERA)
Surprising Cincinnati is 3-1 after last night's 2-0 win over St. Louis. The Cardinals are having trouble offensively and perhaps facing 40 year old Arroyo will help. However, my TTF rated CIN +1.006 for this match up, so I'm taking them for a unit.
4:05pm: Yankees -108 RH Masahiro Tanaka (0-1, 23.63 ERA) vs. Orioles -102 RH Kevin Gausman (0-0, 3.38)
After suffering a tough loss in the series opener, Tanaka takes the mound for New York. He struggled mightily in his first start (2.2 innings, 7 earned runs, 8 hits). Baltimore is a perfect 3-0 thus far. Good value with BAL -102 as I rate them +0.116 on the TTF. Take them for a unit.
2:30pm Update - Evening plays
7:10pm: Marlins +108 LH Adam Conley (2016: 8-6, 3.85 ERA) vs. Mets -119 RH Robert Gsellman (0-0, 0.00)
Both teams have split their first 4 games. Mets LF Yoenis Cespedes hit his first homer of the season last night. Not sure what to expect out of 23 year old Gsellman. A +.408 TTF rating for MIA has me recommending them for a unit here.
8:05pm: Athletics +160 RH Kendall Graveman (1-0, 3.00 ERA) vs. Rangers -178 RH Yu Darvish (0-0, 5.68)
Nomar Mazara (.588 BA) is red hot to start the season for Texas. Graveman had a better opening start than Darvish, and with the TTF saying OAK +0.046, I'll have to take the A's for a unit.
10:07pm: Mariners -111 RH Felix Hernandez (0-1, 3.60 ERA) vs. Angels +101 RH Ricky Nolasco (0-1, 4.76)
Hernandez's opening start was cut short due to tightness in his right groin. He'll be facing a formidable Angels lineup in Mike Trout and Andrelton Simmons among others. Worth playing LAA at plus money with a +0.143 TTF rating. One unit.
Good luck, players!
