9:30pm - L.A. Clippers at Houston -6.5 O/U 211.5
Well, the Clippers defeated the mighty Spurs on Saturday and now must face the Rockets in Houston to start the Western Conference semis. The question (besides Chris Paul's hamstring) will be how much of a letdown, if any, will they have.
Paul injured his hamstring in the decisive game 7 vs. the Spurs and is questionable for tonight's game. Blake Griffin had a terrific series and it might just catapult him to bigger things. Big man DeAndre Jordan will face a tough battle against Rocket C Dwight Howard.
Houston is led by James Harden and his 27.4 ppg and 7.0 apg. He'll get his, it's just a matter of how the supporting cast of Howard, Trevor Ariza and Josh Smith will perform. Taking care of Dallas in 5 games was fairly impressive.
I find it difficult to see the Clippers winning this one on the heels of Saturday's emotional game and with Paul either playing at less than 100% or not playing at all. I think Doc Rivers is hoping for a split in these first 2 games and this isn't the one he's realistically looking at to win.
