Oregon State comes into Fort Collins for this opener after going 4-8 in 2016. Homestanding Colorado State (7-6 in 2016) has a brand new stadium as third year head coach Mike Bobo hopes his team lives up to big expectations. 5th year Sr. QB Nick Stevens will be called upon to lead the high powered offense (35.3 ppg in 2016) of the Rams as he did at the end of 2016 when they won 4 of 5 before losing in the Idaho Potato Bowl to Idaho.
Oregon State has lost 13 consecutive road games, including 0-11 in Anderson's two seasons at the helm.
