9pm - Golden State -2 at Cleveland O/U 194
The NBA Finals returns to Cleveland for the first time since 2007. To the surprise of many, the Cavs return home tied 1-1 with the Warriors despite losing G Kyrie Irving late in the game 1, 95-93 OT loss.
For Cleveland, LeBron James has been, well........LeBron, averaging 41.5 pts. 12 rebs. and 8.5 assts. in the first 2 games. It's reasonable to expect he'll continue to post these types of numbers for the series as he and the Cavs really have limited options otherwise.
The Warriors wasted a late rally in game 2 as they overcame an 11 point deficit with just over 3 minutes remaining. They were able to force OT, but couldn't finish it off. G Stephen Curry struggled most of the game going just 5-23 overall from the field and a dismal 2-15 from 3-point land. They'll need the MVP caliber Curry in Cleveland if they are to win at Quicken Loans Arena.
Game 3 looks to be another tightly contested game and another OT is certainly not out of the question. I'm struggling a bit with the total as I expect scores to be a little lower than at Oracle Arena, but the 194 total doesn't leave much room for OT if you are looking at the under.
I have to think that if the Cavs were able to give the Warriors such a hard time at Golden State, then this game 3 at home should be viewed as a very winnable game. I love seeing the Cavs getting two points here and I'll be taking it.
