There's an 8 game card tonight in the NBA and I've got all of them rated as just 1 unit plays. That means that I don't see any real good value situations this evening. Having said that, there is one matchup that I like best.
CHA +4 at DET
The Hornets (20-16) will be playing their 2nd of a back-to-back situation, but they looked pretty good in the 1st one, winning 123-112 last night vs. OKC. PG Kemba Walker is having an all-star caliber season and backcourt mate Nicolas Batum scored a season-high 28 last night.
The Pistons (16-21) have lost 8 of their last 10 games as their defense as become suspect. Their strength may be in their bench with Tobias Harris and Ish Smith leading the second unit.
Until Detroit returns to better form, I can't see backing them as a favorite vs a team as good as Charlotte. The Hornets are a very good 8-9 on the road and I expect them to even that mark tonight.
The FSI rates this one DET -1.08.
