A 6:30pm Big East Monday showdown as St. John's will be in D.C. to take on conference rival Georgetown.
The Red Storm (8-9, 2-2 Big East) have dropped their last 2 games heading into Monday's contest. Marcus LoVett, Shamorie Ponds and Bashir Ahmed are St. John's top scorers, with LoVett getting 32 in Saturday's 97-82 loss to Xavier.
The Hoyas (8-8, 0-4) are still looking for their first conference win. They almost got it on Saturday, but fell 85-76 in OT to Butler. L.J. Peak and Jagan Mosely scored 21 and 20 points respectively in the loss. Rodney Pryor, the co-leading scorer in the Big East with 19.8 points, didn't score against Butler.
I believe Georgetown get's it's first Big East win here as their close loss vs a quality Butler squad should give them confidence heading into this one at home.
